Procera Network

Sydney Oral Design has become part of Nobel Biocare's 'Procera Network', the all ceramic crown and bridge technology that is revolutionising modern dentistry. The process is as follows:

The impression is sent to by the dentist to Sydney Oral Design
The model is cast and the individual tooth separated for scanning
The model of the prepared tooth is placed on the turntable of the analogue scanner (pictured) that records the exact dimensions of the tooth to the Network software
A skilled technician then 'plots the margins' of the desired crown on a computer screen from a much magnified 3D image that guarantees superior results every time
The information is then sent by the software to Sweden where the framework for an all ceramic crown is produced that exactly matches the dimensions intended by the surgeon
The crown is returned to Sydney Oral Design within 7-10 days and finished for colour, texture and shape to match the patients current dentition
The crown is returned to the dentist and cemented at the patient's next appointment

The Procera All Ceramic Crown points towards the future for crown and bridge work.
